Meet Valor: The £100 Million Eco-Friendly Superyacht Revolutionizing Luxury Sailing
Get ready to be amazed! A state-of-the-art, £100 million superyacht called Valor has just hit the waters, and it’s not your typical luxury vessel. This stunning boat is battery-powered and operates on solar energy combined with vegetable oil!
The sleek, 79-meter yacht can sail for up to two days using its eco-friendly energy sources, cruising at a respectable speed of 15 knots (about 17.2 mph). Valor doesn’t skimp on the luxury either, offering high-end amenities that make it a floating paradise.

Luxurious Amenities Galore
Valor is packed with amenities that epitomize luxury. Imagine taking a dip in the infinity swimming pool or enjoying a patch of grass where your furry friends can play. The yacht also boasts a helipad, a lavish stateroom, two jacuzzis, and nine other bedrooms, accommodating up to 14 guests!
Stylish Design with a Naval Touch
The innovative design of Valor takes inspiration from naval battleships, making its silhouette both powerful and graceful. Previously known as Project 715, this yacht was crafted at Feadship’s impressive facility in Aalsmeer, near Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Innovative Eco-Friendly Technology
A spokesperson for Feadship shared exciting details about the propulsion system aboard Valor. This yacht features a hybrid diesel-electric engine and a solar battery-powered setup, developed through Feadship’s Advanced Electrical Drive program. Instead of conventional main engines and generators, Valor draws its energy from four ultra-efficient, variable-speed generators, connected to a powerful DC power grid and a water-cooled 5.34-megawatt-hour lithium-ion battery bank.
“A high-efficiency solar cell array mounted on the mast enhances this system, providing additional carbon-free energy,” the spokesperson elaborated. With the ability to operate for up to 48 hours solely on battery power, Valor guarantees a zero-carbon footprint, making it ideal for visits to sensitive marine areas in quiet, emission-free mode.
Additionally, Valor will be trialed using Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil BioFuel, which can reduce carbon emissions by up to 90 percent!
Custom Amenities for the Discerning Owner
With a blend of military-inspired design and luxurious features, Valor’s upper decks are designed for both relaxation and entertainment. The owner’s deck includes a state-of-the-art stateroom overlooking the helideck, outdoor lounges, a private jacuzzi, and even spaces for the owner’s three Golden Retrievers.
The accommodations are generous, offering space for 14 guests, with six guest suites on the main deck. A sky lounge on the owner’s deck and a formal dining area can comfortably seat fourteen, enhanced by sliding glass walls that bring the outdoors in.
Valor also provides additional outdoor entertaining spaces, including another jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads on the sundeck’s forward portion. It’s truly a marvel of modern luxury!
