Azimut Yachts Welcomes Andrea Antichi as New General Manager
Exciting news from Azimut|Benetti Group! Andrea Antichi has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Azimut division, starting on May 12, 2025. This strategic move signals a fresh direction for the company, and we can’t wait to see the impact he will make.
Bringing Expertise to the Helm
Reporting directly to CEO Marco Valle, Antichi is set to shape the future of Azimut as he tackles both economic and industrial goals. This is particularly crucial as Azimut undergoes significant transformations in its production capabilities.
A Strong Background in Engineering
Antichi’s journey began as a mechanical engineer, starting his career at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institutes. He soon transitioned to engineering roles at Piaggio, where he honed his skills over time.

In 2006, he joined Ferrari and quickly rose through the ranks in manufacturing operations, ultimately serving as Chief Manufacturing Officer. His extensive experience in innovation and operational excellence positions him perfectly for this new role at Azimut.
Strategic Evolution at Azimut
Antichi’s appointment aligns with Azimut’s ambitious strategy to attract top-tier management talent from outside the nautical industry. The aim? To infuse fresh ideas and innovative approaches, propelling the sector forward.
A pivotal aspect of this strategy is the transformation of the Avigliana plant, which now produces vessels up to 26 meters—marking a significant milestone in Azimut’s growth journey.
CEO Marco Valle emphasized the importance of Antichi’s leadership for implementing a more structured and innovation-driven approach to production. Valle expressed confidence that Antichi’s experience and managerial skills will streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and raise quality standards across the board.
Looking Ahead
Reflecting on his new role, Antichi stated, “After nineteen years at Ferrari, a symbol of Italian automotive excellence, I am thrilled to embrace the world of excellence in the nautical industry.”
We also want to extend our gratitude to Daniele Romiti, who has served as General Manager since 2022. Romiti played a vital role in enhancing production infrastructure and initiating sustainability projects, including the adoption of self-generated energy systems—a robust foundation for the company’s next chapter.
