Tomorrow, RJ will share a thoughtful recap of the year, but today, let’s dive into our most popular Instagram posts. With our follower count nearing 250,000, it’s the perfect time to celebrate our community and shine a spotlight on the watches that captured your attention through comments, likes, views, and shares. So, without further ado, here are the standout pieces that soared in popularity this year!
Keeping You Engaged on Instagram
In addition to writing insightful articles and creating engaging reels, I’m here to ensure you stay updated on Instagram. I’ve developed a knack for predicting which posts will resonate with you. However, every now and then, there are unexpected watches that surprise us all. Let’s kick things off with a few of the unexpected stars before transitioning to the more well-known favorites.
Serica’s Expedition Bracelet: A Surprising Hit
In November, Serica launched the Expedition bracelet for its 8315 Travel Chronometer. I had the pleasure of going hands-on with it and shared my thoughts in an article and a reel. Typically, new bracelet releases don’t garner the same attention as new watches. However, our Instagram post showcasing the Expedition bracelet did just that. Whether it was the captivating photo or the bracelet’s unique design, one thing’s for sure: this post claimed its spot among our top five most popular posts of 2025.
Singer Caballero: A Unique Gem
Upon reviewing the new Singer Caballero, it was evident that we were looking at something extraordinary. The glossy green dial paired with the fluted golden flange and vibrant orange hands creates a striking look. Plus, the four jewels visible through the dial hint at the exceptional mechanism within. The open-worked four-barrel movement provides an impressive six-day power reserve. Although Singer isn’t one of the most recognized brands, its well-deserved place in our top five Instagram posts is both surprising and exciting.
Cliff Tait’s Rolex GMT-Master 1675: A Historic Journey
Next up are our well-loved Rolex posts, and quiickly, it’s no surprise. Henry recounts the inspiring true story of New Zealand pilot Cliff Tait and his Rolex GMT-Master ref. 1675, which accompanied him on an incredible solo flight around the world in 1969. Over 80 days, 284 flight hours, and more than 30,000 miles, he made aviation history as the first person to circumnavigate the globe solo in a New Zealand-built aircraft.
On that historic journey, Tait wore a Rolex GMT-Master 1675 specially gifted by the brand, engraved with his name and departure date. More than just an accessory, the watch became a crucial navigation tool. The 24-hour GMT hand enabled Tait to track Greenwich Mean Time while crossing time zones, coordinating refueling and flight plans without reliance on electronics. The Rolex GMT-Master proved durable, enduring extreme conditions without faltering. If you haven’t read the full story, be sure to check it out!
Rolex Land-Dweller: A Polarizing Release
The Rolex Land-Dweller took the spotlight at this year’s Watches and Wonders Geneva. Some hints leaked out before the official unveiling, but the excitement remained palpable. As Mike noted in his hands-on article, its polarizing design generated much discussion. While some praised the integrated bracelet, others critiqued the honeycomb texture and the sizeable applied numerals. Now that the buzz has calmed, we’re curious to see what updates will surface for the Land-Dweller at next year’s Watches and Wonders. Be sure to follow our Instagram account so you don’t miss any updates!
Seiko Rotocall Re-editions: Nostalgia Meets Innovation
No discussion of popular posts would be complete without mentioning Seiko. Their new releases consistently engage our audience, but this year’s highlight was a re-edition of the unique Rotocall collection. Originally known for their innovative interface, where users could rotate the octagonal bezel to select functions, these watches became popular even among astronauts, despite not being an official NASA piece.
The new Seiko Rotocall models maintain that legacy. They feature a sturdy 37mm stainless steel case, 100m water resistance, and Seiko’s A824 quartz module, ensuring accuracy within ±15 seconds a month. Offered in three vibrant colorways (yellow/black, red/black, and gray/blue), each model includes a steel bracelet and a nylon strap. Have you had the chance to check them out yet?
The Titanium Cartier Santos: Dominating the Scene
While all these watches were hits on our Instagram, the Cartier Santos in titanium emerged as the clear winner in terms of popularity. I’ll be honest—I wasn’t entirely convinced at first. The bead-blasted finish, especially on the bezel, felt a bit dull to me. However, the overwhelming enthusiasm from our Instagram followers proved me wrong. The blend of the classic Santos design with a lightweight titanium case resonated deeply, offering both style and functionality. Have you had the chance to try it on?
A Few Honorable Mentions
Those were our most popular watch posts on the Fratello Instagram account this year. Here are a few additional noteworthy mentions: Hamilton’s collaboration with the Call of Duty franchise, exemplified by the Black Ops 6 Khaki Field Automatic, drew significant interest. I also appreciated the attention given to the creative WRK Timepieces ACF-2, which almost made it into our top five. Lastly, Omega’s Grey Side of the Moon was praised for its beautifully decorated lunar crater dial—a remarkable addition to the Dark Side of the Moon collection.
