Revitalized Tudor Royal Collection: A Blend of Tradition and Modernity for 2026
For 2026, Tudor is stepping up its game with an exciting update to its Royal lineup, featuring new sizes, refreshed dial designs, and advanced manufacture movements. While the caliber upgrades are especially noteworthy, the aesthetic changes also add a delightful retro touch to several models. Let’s dive into the revitalized Tudor Royal collection.
At Watches and Wonders this year, Tudor introduced a new Monarch alongside a series of exciting Royals. The upgraded Royal collection is more than just a name change; it now includes models available in 30mm, 36mm, and 40mm sizes, crafted in all stainless steel or a chic combination of stainless steel and yellow gold. The three sizes are easily identifiable by their dial layouts: the 40mm features a date window at 3 o’clock and a day display at 12, the 36mm has just the date at 3 o’clock, while the 30mm models showcase a clean look without either feature. As expected, the 2026 collection maintains Tudor’s tradition of offering a wide variety of dial colors and designs.
Exploring the New Tudor Royal Details
The new Tudor Royals come in three sizes catering to both men and women. The smallest 30mm model has a case measuring 35.8mm in length and 8.7mm in profile, while the mid-sized 36mm versions measure 36 × 42.2 × 9.7mm, and the largest 40mm cases are 40 × 47 × 11.4mm.
All models boast a robust water resistance of up to 100 meters and come equipped with screw-down crowns. The intricate design includes redesigned lugs and connecting links on the integrated bracelet, ensuring a snug fit without unwanted contact.
The extensive array of dials includes captivating colors like black, blue, silver, green, salmon, red, and mother-of-pearl. Additionally, Tudor offers several dial designs, including familiar versions featuring applied Roman numerals.
One notable dial redesign incorporates applied stick markers, evoking a distinctly vintage feel. This design resonates with Tudor’s heritage, tying the new Royals to classic models like the Oyster Prince Day-Date and Prince Oysterdate. The overall aesthetic is beautifully complemented by lume-filled baton hour and minute hands, along with a thin seconds hand.
High-Performance Tudor Manufacture Calibers
Inside each case, regardless of size, you’ll encounter the updated Tudor manufacture calibers. The 30mm models feature the MT5201 movement; the 36mm versions, the MT5412; and the 40mm Royals use the MT5633. All three are Kenissi-produced automatic movements, equipped with non-magnetic silicon hairsprings and a two-point-anchored bridge for the balance wheel, improving their shock resistance.
Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the MT5412 and MT5633 offer an impressive 70-hour power reserve, while the smaller MT5201 provides a solid 50-hour autonomy. All movements are COSC-certified chronometers, with slight variations in accuracy: the MT5633 and MT5412 are regulated to a variance of -2/+4 seconds per day, while the MT5201 is adjusted to -3/+5 seconds per day.
Final Specs, Pricing, and Impressions of the Updated Tudor Royal Collection
The redesigned bracelet comes in stainless steel or a chic stainless steel and yellow gold combination, depending on the model. The five-row design beautifully blends polished and brushed finishes for a striking appearance. In the two-tone models, the slim connecting center links feature a steel core and a 0.2mm gold cap. Each bracelet is designed with screw-fastened links and a T-fit clasp, ensuring comfort and easy adjustments.
In terms of pricing, the 40mm steel versions retail for €3,390 / US$3,675 / CHF 3,000, while the steel-and-gold variants are priced at €5,820 / US$6,325 / CHF 5,150. The 36mm steel Royals retail at €3,160 / US$3,425 / CHF 2,800, with the steel-and-gold versions priced between €5,430 and €/5,900 / CHF 4,800. The 36mm version with a diamond-set bezel goes for €5,830 / US$6,300 / CHF 5,150.
The standard 30mm steel Royals are priced at €2,990 / US$3,250 / CHF 2,650, while the steel-and-gold variant without diamonds sells for €4,980 / US$5,400 / CHF 4,400. One stainless steel model with diamonds on the sunburst dial and bezel is priced at €4,970 / US$5,375 / CHF 4,400, and another with a diamond-set mother-of-pearl dial and bezel costs €5,080 / US$5,500 / CHF 4,500. The steel-and-gold 30mm Tudor Royal with a diamond-studded dial retails for €5,770 / US$6,250 / CHF 5,100.
The Tudor Royal often gets overlooked in favor of the brand’s more popular lines like the Black Bay and Pelagos, including by yours truly. However, I can confidently say that the updates made to the refreshed Royal series are impressive. The simplified dial design with stick markers is particularly striking. With the new sizes, dials, and improved calibers, the Tudor Royal feels fresh and relevant. I, for one, am eager to try the 36mm Royal in stainless steel with the new dial design—a true compliment to Tudor’s innovative spirit.
