I’ve been immersed in Ba111od’s integrated-bracelet sports watch, the Chapter 7, and it’s been quite a journey. This piece marks an accessible entry into the exciting world of sports watches. Originally covered by my colleague Jorg in August 2025, the Chapter 8 models maintain the same dimensions as their predecessors but offer a more traditional aesthetic. The 41mm by 48mm 316L stainless steel case comes in either a sleek bare finish or a luxurious PVD 5N-gold plating. At 12.75mm thick, it boasts a domed sapphire crystal with an antireflective coating, and an onion crown at 4 o’clock adds a classic touch.

Style Meets Functionality

While these watches exude a formal appearance with their crocodile-pattern leather straps, they are also practical. Rated to 5 ATM (50 meters) for water resistance, they are designed to withstand the elements. Just a suggestion: consider swapping the deployant clasp for something more aquatic-friendly if you plan on splashing around!

Dial Details: Guilloché, Sunray, and Slender Hands

I had the opportunity to explore the gold-plated version, and it stands out due to its unique design. It’s not every day that you see a traditionally styled dress watch at such an approachable price point. The Family Legacy blends a central guilloché pattern with a sunray finish on the outer dial, making for a visually appealing display. Black printed Roman and Arabic numerals, along with slender hands, add sophistication. The well-balanced, clean dial design avoids any date windows or unnecessary clutter, giving it an elegant touch.

Under the hood, the Family Legacy Special Editions are powered by the automatic Soprod C110 movement. This 33-jewel caliber features a 42-hour power reserve and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
