Discover the Latest Gerald Charles Watches from Watches and Wonders 2026
Though Watches and Wonders 2026 may have wrapped up, we’re excited to spotlight some standout brands we encountered, particularly Gerald Charles. Renowned for its uniquely styled baroque wristwatches, designed by the legendary Gérald Genta, the brand unveiled a trio of stunning new pieces this year. I had the privilege of trying them on, and I’m eager to share my impressions with you!
Compact Yet Commanding: Gerald Charles Watches
As a smaller brand, Gerald Charles has made a name for itself, producing some of the most recognizable watches on the market. While the unique case designs might be polarizing, I’ve personally tried on most of their collections over the past five years, and I can vouch for their comfort and elegance on the wrist. This year’s offerings are no exception—three distinctly different watches that are truly worth your attention.
1. The Gerald Charles Maestro GC Sport Tennis White
I was thrilled to get my hands on the Maestro GC Sport Tennis White shortly after its embargo lifted. This model is part of a series inspired by the sport of tennis, designed not only to evoke the game but also to be functional for play. With a 39mm by 41.7mm Darkblast Grade 5 titanium case, it feels featherlight—just 64 grams total—making it an effortless companion on the court.
The case fits like a glove, thanks to its downward-curved lugs and left-mounted crown. The strap is perfect for an active lifestyle, but it also exudes a classy vibe that suits moderately dressy occasions. Inside, the watch houses the GCA2001 automatic caliber from Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. The movement feels smooth and quiet, beautifully decorated and showcased through a sapphire display back. With a price tag of US$23,800 and only 250 pieces available, I predict these limited-edition tennis models will fly off the shelves.
2. The Gerald Charles Masterlink Perpetual Calendar
The second release features two variations of the impressive Masterlink Perpetual Calendar. While they share the same functionality, their appearances are quite distinct. This watch is Gerald Charles’s interpretation of an integrated-bracelet sports watch, complete with a sought-after complication. Crafted from Grade 5 titanium, both versions exhibit a Darkblast finish that gives the bracelet’s center links a luxurious, suede-like texture. Their 40mm width and 10mm thickness make for a comfortable fit.
As for the dials, Gerald Charles offers either fumé anthracite gray or a stunning clear sapphire. I had the chance to try on the sapphire version, which is undeniably a crowd-pleaser. Functionally, these watches boast a full calendar display across three sub-dials, along with a moonphase complication. One standout feature is the GCA11000 micro-rotor movement, also based on a Vaucher foundation but enhanced with a proprietary module for added complexity. The finishing touches, including Côtes de Genève patterns reminiscent of streets and waves, along with a solitary black ruby signifying the brand’s workshop, are gorgeous details. I’ve spent time at that atelier, located just adjacent to Lake Geneva. Although I typically lean towards more classic designs, the openworked version of this watch has captured my heart. That model retails for CHF 70,000, while the black-dial version sells for CHF 63,000. Time to start saving!
